Sky acquired DFB Cup rights for another four years

• Four-year agreement from the 2012/2013 season
• Exclusive and platform-independent pay TV rights
• All matches, all goals from the first round until the final only on Sky
• Drawing for the second round exclusively on Sky

Unterföhring, 8 November 2011. Sky Deutschland AG will remain a partner of German Football Association DFB for another four years. The premium channel secured the exclusive and platform-independent pay rights for the DFB Cup from the 2012/2013 up to the 2015/2016 season. The new agreement includes the broadcast of all matches via the distribution channels cable, satellite, IPTV, internet, and mobile. In addition to the total of 63 matches, Sky shows the drawing of the second round exclusively.

Apart from classic TV broadcasts, Sky also offers the DFB Cup as a mobile experience. With Sky Go, subscribers can watch the exciting matches also on the iPad, the iPhone, on the web as well as on the Xbox 360 (from this winter).

Since the 18th of October, around 700,000 Sky Premium HD and Multiroom customers can experience Sky Go for free. This gives the subscribers the opportunity to decide for themselves when and where they want to watch their favorite programs. With Sky Go, they will never miss a decisive match again - even when they are on the road.
