Wolfram Winter (born 1963) is Executive Vice President Communications of Sky Deutschland. His responsibilities include corporate and consumer communications, events, internal communications, public affairs and representing Sky as the company's senior spokesperson. Winter joined the Sky management team in August 2009 when he took over as Senior Vice President Distribution Development.
Between 1996 and 1998, he ran the programming department of DF1, then the first German digital pay-TV offering. Prior to this he worked for four years in different roles for the Kirch Group. In 1998, Winter was appointed managing director of NBC Universal Global Networks Germany, responsible for the television business of the Hollywood major in the DACH region. During his following eight years at Universal the company launched several pay- and free TV channels, including SciFi, History and DAS VIERTE. In 2007 he became founding CEO and a shareholder of the DTH-based pay TV platform Premiere Star, which was merged with Sky in 2009.
Winter is a trained journalist, and a graduate of the University of Munich (LMU), with a master's degree in political science. In 2011 he was appointed professor for media management at the MHMK private university in Munich.
