National Geographic Channel launches on Premiere in Germany
The National Geographic Channel will be available beginning May 16 as part of the Premiere Familie package Munich, 15 May 2009. Premiere extends its high-quality factual entertainment offerings with the May 16 launch of National Geographic Channel as a new channel in the Premiere Familie package. The channel features smart factual entertainment. With its unique mix of brilliantly filmed documentaries, it challenges perceptions and inspires viewers to think about the world we live in more deeply.
In partnership with the National Geographic Society the National Geographic Channel presents premium high-quality documentaries focusing on unique research projects, thrilling expeditions and the latest developments in technology and science. In addition the channel exhibits exclusive programming of independent filmmakers from around the world. Upcoming programming highlights on the National Geographic Channel include “Jean Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Adventure”, “Salvage Code Red” “Inside Guantanamo” and “My Music Brain”, a program featuring insights from Grammy award-winning musician Sting.
