Munich, 2 September 2010. Following the success of the first ever HD 3D live football broadcast in Germany
last March, Sky Deutschland is again the first to bring the amazing experience of 3D to homes all across
Germany and Austria with the launch of the new service this October. The 3D service, broadcast in True HD,
will feature the top events that only Sky can offer, from major sports to great movies, documentaries, music,
arts and more. The service can be received through any Sky HD capable set-top-box – including the newly
introduced Sky+ - and must be connected to a 3D TV. As the market leader in True HD, and with over a million
Sky HD boxes already in the market, there will be a lot of people getting ready to enjoy 3D TV in the months to
come.

Brian Sullivan, CEO of Sky Deutschland: “We believe in giving our customers the best TV experience possible,
one that constantly excites and entertains, and that you simply can not get anywhere else. Our market leading
True HD service already offers the best content and picture quality, and with our new 3D service we’re taking
that one step further. Combined with our wide choice of exclusive sports and movies we will deliver an
amazing experience for the growing number of homes with 3D capable TVs across Germany and Austria.
Delivering choice, quality, value, and innovation for our customers is at the heart of Sky. This is just the start!”

The new Sky 3D event channel will also be available through the cable networks of Kabel BW. Extending the
recent market leading triple-play partnership, Kabel BW will carry both the new Sky HD-3D service as well as
the recently launched Sky Sport HD 2 channel, meaning Kabel BW customers will now be able to enjoy even
more fantastic Sky sport programmes in spectacular True HD quality – from the Ryder Cup to the newly
introduced Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League Conference broadcasts.

Harald Rösch, CEO Kabel BW: “We are very happy to be involved with the launch of Germany’s first big 3D
station right from the beginning. Our network is well equipped to offer this extraordinary TV experience to all
cable homes in Baden-Württemberg. In this way we will successfully continue to expand the proven
partnership with Sky.”
