Jim Rudder joins Sky as new Senior Vice President Broadcast Operations and General Manager Creation Club

Munich, 1 July 2009. Today, Jim Rudder joins Sky as Senior Vice President Broadcast Operations. He also assumes responsibility for the Creation Club as General Manager. Zeljko Karajica, who has been the head of the Creation Club up to this point, has decided to take on a new challenge and joins DSF (Deutsches Sportfernsehen) as Managing Director. Mark Williams, CEO of Premiere: “I am very delighted Jim Rudder is joining Sky. He is building on a 30-year professional career in the area of television production, with 20 of these years at News Corp. I would like to sincerely thank Zeljko for his excellent commitment to the Creation Club and the support it has provided to us over the years.” Zeljko Karajica will support the transition to Sky in the coming weeks.

In his position as Senior Vice President Broadcast Operations, Jim Rudder will be responsible for overseeing the Sky broadcasting activities, both internally and through the various outsourced service providers. In particular, he will oversee the establishment of the broadcasting infrastructure and capability in the new building. Jim Rudder has gained international experience in four countries and was a part of the launch teams from BSkyB and Sky Italia. Among other things, he was Deputy Director of Sky News, UK, Director of Interactive Television at BSkyB, Director of News and Current Affairs at Nine Network Australia and for the past five years, he has served as Project Manager at Sky Italia with an emphasis on sport, sport news and interactive television. Jim Rudder is a graduate of the Programme for Management Development at Harvard Business School.
