Inclusion and Responsibility
You’re welcome
We celebrate diversity. Because different people, with different perspectives make Sky a better business. Our customers are incredibly diverse, so we should be, too. That’s why we’re working hard to build an inclusive culture, where you can be yourself. Whoever you are. Wherever you’re from.
Our people
At Sky, we’re constantly adding offerings for our employees to provide an environment free of prejudice and missed opportunities. More than 50 different nationalities meet daily at Sky Deutschland. Working together to make smarter decisions and courageously taking new steps as a business. Regardless of gender, age, origin, sexual orientation or physical ability. We develop and promote talented people because we believe that a diverse workforce leads to more innovation, creativity and a tolerant corporate culture.
Charta der Vielfalt
Since November 2018, Sky Deutschland has been an active member of the Charta der Vielfalt. This shows our commitment to actively promote diversity and create a culture characterised by mutual respect and appreciation. We’re part of a community of more than 3,500 companies who have joined this initiative. Together, we’re trying to create a working environment free of discrimination and prejudice. With projects such as the Diversity Day or the Diversity Challenge, Charta der Vielfalt aims to educate and encourage creativity, acceptance and integration of diversity in the world of work. At last year’s Diversity Day, Sky celebrated by airing a pop-up channel dedicated to diversity.
Black History Month
Nadeem tells us why he’s inspired by the man who floated like a butterfly and stung like a bee.
Sport across the board
We caught up with Jose after Rainbow Laces week, the campaign for LGBT equality and inclusivity in sport.
KopFRAUm
„kopFRAUm“-DIE Podcast“ is presented by Elke Walthelm. The head of programming at Sky Deutschland says: „We need more diversity, more variety. For me as a woman, it is obvious to talk about gender diversity in particular. What has always motivated me in my professional life were strong role models. With kopFRAUm – Die Podcast I would like to present female role models who share their experiences and motivation so that women, but also men, can be inspired – because diversity needs us all. Environment
Sky Deutschland is proud to have been carbon neutral since 2016. We’ve also banned all single-use plastics from our sites and operations since 2017, combating the increasing plastic pollution in our oceans and ecosystems. And with Sky Zero, we aim to be net zero carbon by 2030 over our whole supply chain and product range. Click below to discover more about our commitment to environmental protection.
